Background
This client arranges racing events for historic racing car drivers in Europe and America. They manage the bookings of their hundreds of members who participate in the 100+ races they organise.
Brief
Strict health and safety regulations at events meant that a comprehensive database system was needed to provide accurate management and reporting of driver and car registrations.
Solution
Netready created a bespoke database system that overcame the client’s hurdles related to the ever-changing nature of live events and bookings management. The system strictly enforced rules about race entries so that the booking team could easily manage bookings and see if required information such as emergency contacts and car registration documentation were valid for the country where the race was taking place. A set of reports called an Event Pack was produced so that, in one single download, the management team could have all the reports required to run an event, including copies of information in various formats for different organisations at the event (gate security, track marshals, hospitality etc.). These tools removed data inaccuracies in their data and simplified the administration of their events.
Security
Netready worked closely with the client to determine appropriate levels of security whilst making it easy for their members to manage their data. Different elements of the data were reviewed to determine if it should be shared with each user-group involved in the events, and processes were put in place to ensure that members could update their data securely without a long-winded security checking processes.
